Re: Officially Camaro production announcement.

Sweet! I skimmed it but didn't find anything about the powerplants they are planning on dropping between the fenders. I've read rumors of a lot of different possibilities. A 4.xL v-6, an LS2, and maybe the LS7 for the SS model. But they also have that new LS3 (I think) for the next GTO is a possibility (6.2L).

Re: Officially Camaro production announcement.

They'll find a way to screw it up before it goes into production.

Note that it said they are going to produce something SIMILAR to the prototype. By the time they get done with it, it'll probably look like a damned Chevette.

I’m guessing all they will change is make the roof a little high, make it a little less wide, give it a more realistic interior and replace the 21” and 22” wheels with 17”s.

Right now the Camaro is a show car so they are going change some stuff to make it into a production car.

Re: Officially Camaro production announcement.

Yeah if they have to go with big rims atleast stop at 19s or something.. but not into the 20s..

Re: Officially Camaro production announcement.

we all know corners are gonna be cut for producton and to make it competitivly priced. the question is how close will it be to the concept. my guess is 18in rims, simpler interior, and a cheaper lookin engine bay. maybe i can find out more details when i go to SEMA in november.
