Windshield Wipers

Unfortunately, I had to drive in the rain for a few minutes and used my wipers. They work fine, but when I turn them off, they don't go all the way down. They stay up about 3-4 inches or so from the bottom. I can push them down by hand but I don't want to keep doing that. How can I fix it? Do I have to pop off the windshield wipers and reset their position? They kinda become a view obstructor.

Re: Windshield Wipers

are you sure you turned them off? cuz they will stay a little above rest if you didnt.. and if it ALWAYS keeps doing that, and it never goes below that mark, take off the wiper from the bottom.. and manually move it lower..then it'll stop at that position all the time..

Re: Windshield Wipers

That's what I thought I would have to do. And yes, I am sure that they are off.

Re: Windshield Wipers

I have the same problem with my 94 Camaro. They stay up just a few inches even after I turn them off. However, they eventually go down by themselves - often when I am starting my car, but sometimes when I am just driving along they go down on their own. This obviously means they are in the correct position, but I'm just not sure what's wrong - bad connections somewhere? Anyone else with this problem?
