code p0301 again
I have a 98 Eclipse and a couple months ago I got a p0301 cylinder one misfire code. I replaced the spark plugs and the code and problem went away. Two months later, the problem has come back as well as the check engine code. Aside from replacing the spark plugs again, is there a bigger problem that could be causing my spark plug to go bad?

Re: code p0301 again
Its a Bosch Platinum. Its what I bought before and I was only going to replace the first one this time, but I recently heard that Bosch may not be the best way to go. You think the air filter can make my spark plugs go bad?

Re: code p0301 again
well, the air filter on my mom's minivan gave a code lean on bank 2. if you aren't getting the right a/f mixture, things fail. her air filter was pretty dark.
i would suggest NGK plugs only for mitsubishi products. bosch aren't the greatest, no, but they aren't the worst either. Try some NGK's and see if that works.
