Unhappy Power Windows Problems

Power Windows Problems

1998 Mercury Grand Marquis - Electrical Problem

I cannot operate the (3) Power Windows from the passengers side.

However, from the drivers side the switches are okay.

Please let me know what I can do.

Thank you

RE: Door lock problem

Check this first!!!

Look at your driver side power window switch
Contains all four window controls
Right below that is a lock.
This lock is to prevent children from operating the power windows
whenever the driver has the switch disabled.
You might want to try moving that switch to both positions and
check again.
That sounds like the problem
If that does not change anything, then it is related to that switch.
Haven't seen any go bad to the extent that you are describing.

Hope this is all that it is!!

2.Position the watershield out of the way.

-Remove the speaker.

3.Remove the front door window glass.

4.Disconnect the connector.

5.Remove the rivets.

6.Remove the Torx® screws.
