Power Steering pressure hose

Hi
I have a fluid leak in my power steering pressure hose. The car is a 92 Grand Prix 3.1. I don’t need to change the pump just the pressure hose. The hose connects to the bottom of the reservoir with a clamp and I assume it goes to the driver’s side wheel from there. I was just wondering how to take it off and reinstall a new one. Thanks

Re: Power Steering pressure hose

The one that has the clamp is a return hose. It has a short rubber piece, then goes to steel where it hooks to a braket on the back side of the engine, then goes to the gear with another short rubber piece. You can buy a short piece of bulk power steering hose and repair it yourself, as long as the metal sections are not rusted through. Don't try to use bulk fuel or heater hose, they aren't rated for the constant pressure or the type of fluid used in power steering systems.
