sounds like a refrigerant leak m8, more then likely they found it short of gas, topped it up and hey presto it leaks again.
if the gas is R134a it has small molecules and leaks very easily .

you can do a quick check yourself, run the a/c and feel the larger alloy a/c pipe it should be icy cold and sweating.

most likely sites for leak are the condenser (stone chips,or vibration),the alloy pipes (rubbing on the support brackets) or from the compressor shaft seal (very common if not run often).
at a guess i would go for the condenser or a pipe, look for a oily spot on the condenser or pipe, then with the engine/ac off spray soapy water on it and see if it bubbles! (yes fairy liquid will do)

u want to go to a specialist repairer though as the main dealers will get them in and add their own cut, but expect to pay £££'s.

as for the shop flushing the lines thats a load of bollox, that would only be done if some contaminant got into the system like a load of dirt which happens very rarely

hope this helps btw i fix refrigeration for a living but keep off car a/c as its a pain in the butt .

If the coolent pressure was low, it means that it's leaking. According to the a/c guy who's just looked over mine, they don't generally loose gas unless there is a leak. If the pressure was good, then the gas isn't the problem.

You say it's blowing hot? Is it actually hot, or just external temperature. If it's hot, then it's definately the control system - most likely cause is a knackered temperature sensor. In the P11, there is a temperature sensor located underneath the centre console - in the cubby hole in front of the gearstick. Check that it's clear of debris and if required change it (fairly cheap item that does fail over time).

If it's your condensor that's leaking, that'll be £220 (just been quoted for mine).
