engine lite/abs and parking brake lites on

96-grand-am 3.1 liter SE 18000 km . engine lite came on, along with the ABS and hand brake lite and could not get the car out of park, I found that the fuse under the hood for the ABS had blown and replaced it. that turned off the ABS and parking brake lite and was able to shift out of park. the engine lite remains on. are the two linked and what would blow the ABS fuse. I did try disconnecting the battery for a few min. but the engine lite is still on. also the air conditioner only works for about 15 min. then starts to gradually get warm and the compressor starts to smoke.the compressor was installed used in december and only recently filled. is the system plugged? the engine lite is my main concern , and will it hurt to drive it for about a week ( pay day ) , seems to run fine.

Take your car to autozone and get it scanned. They don't charge, then you will know what the code and it get it reset if need be. Good luck
