92 gs n/t
i got a 4g63 n/a but im having a issue with it every now and again, whats happining is that i'll be driving and all of a sudden when i go to push down on the gas my car will make a loud BRRRRRRRRRR" sound and it feels like i lost 1/2 of my HP.... what you guys think it could be i blocked off the egr that seemed to help it a little bit.

yeah sorry i was kinda confused when i typed that. Umm it happin's everynow and again not all the time, but it seems to be happining alot more now, its not the exhaust, it seems like a fuel or some kinda vicious vaccum issue.

Is it just the engine revving up and not going anywhere? Slipping clutch?

well it did it again tonite then my engine light came on, then i left off on the gas and pushed it back down then the engine light went off and the car ran fine then 5 minutes later and did it again and then went away.
heres whats happining, once im moving it can be 30mph in 3rd gear or any other speed in any gear. when i go to give it gas the car shakes a little bit then makes a sound like "BARRRRRR" then my engine light comes on then go's away. and also when im in a lower rpm it seems to do it more then i go to give it gas and it stops acting up once im in a higher rpm such as 4th and above. and once it stops making that sound my RPMs shoot up quick as hell. |

Huh. Where is it coming from? Tranny side or T belt side?

Broken balance shaft belt? I'd be checkin that out quick before it gets wrapped into the timing belt and jumps timing if thats what it could be.

oh dude come on dont get me worryed man i dont even want to think about my B/S belt, but since you said something i will check it.

dude you were damn rite i cant bielive it, well screw the B/S belt i got a B/S block off kit now so im going to install that and a new t-belt tomorrow, just last month i was sitting in my gst on my way to work at a red light (600rpms) and i snapped my B/S belt on that and it took a chuck out of my t-belt BUT my t-belt didnt snap. This is the 2nd time i lucked out, must be that DSM luck

Make sure there is an oil groove in the stubby shaft end that connects into the oil pump in the one you buy.
