2000 Cougar transmission range sensor
The check engine light recently came on in my Cougar, so I had the diagnostic done and it came back as being the transmission range sensor. Does anyone have any information on what this means and what type of repair is in order. I need to get this taken care of quickly so I can drive back home, about 150 miles. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

if you can get the code number, I might be able to help, but it would take way too much time to look for it otherwise. There are hundreds of codes
