I have had a on going problem with my 97. First I developed a whine coming from the front wheel bearing area. I replaced both hubs and new rotors. The noise went away, great that was the problem. Wrong! it's coming back intermittenly. I thought it might be the brake pads but the sound doesn't change with the breaks applied. It changes with vehicle speed, but it's intermitten now and not like it was before. Also, another weird noise, it almost sounds like the parking brake is dragging, but I'm not shure. I have to say overall I'm pleased with the truck, but I hate the fact that Ford decided not to use any grease fittings on the front end of the truck. Oh, by the way, my pitman arm is making alot of creeking noises which I'll have to change that too! Any ideas on the mistory noise would help. It's driving me nuts!
