Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
Just wondering if these speakers will plug/wire right in to where my stock door speakers are, or will I have to get all new wire and wire them up myself?

Re: Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
The question is, do you have 6 1/2 inch speakers in the door already? Most car audio I believe to be 8 ohms, so you wont be damaging any stereo equipment, but they are universal in the sense that there are only 2 wires to a speaker. Any crossover is internal.
IF you have 6 1/2 inch speakers in your door, then yes, you can use existing wiring (if its good) and mount them as normal. Will they work, YES. Will they fit right, Maybe. You may have to change the terminal ends or splice into them however--most auto manufacturers use a proprietary plug, but you can always put ends on them.

Re: Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
Most cavys have 4x6's in the doors. You could buy speaker adaptors tho. Check it out.

Re: Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
Well I plan on fiberglassing my door panels so the 6"ers will be kinda facing you if you're sitting in the seat (like this) so I'll make them "litterally" fit in the door. As for the Bestbuy Fitment check, they said everything wont fit, that's if you want it to just go right in without any adaptations, they say cd decks wont fit either but we all know thats why they make installation kits.

Re: Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
this isn't really part of the thread, but you brought it up..Does anyone else have trouble getting their cd deck to lock in place? I've had 4 stereos in my car, and the only one that fit was the one that came with it when I bought it. It was a pioneer. Since then i've had a Sony Xplod, Dual, and currently I have a Kenwood. The Kenwood is only like 6 1/8 inches deep, and It still is about 1/2 an inch from locking all the way in there...grrrr

Re: Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
do you have all the right mounting stuff for the deck?? i.e the cage and the plastic part that screws into the dash. i know that my pioneer when it was in my car stayed right where i put it.

Re: Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
i had trouble getting a pioneer to fit but it turns out i just needed to push it in really hard.....i was afraid of breaking it until my dad shoved it in there and it did not break so i guess you can push it preatty hard to get it in there

Re: Will these speakers wire up to my doors?
Those MJM adapters are crap. I had to cut the speaker hole grates out of my doors for 6.5 inch speakers to fit. Lucky for you, you are going the fiberglass route.
