2001 Celica GT interior Rearview mirror "?"

Hi everyone,

We have a 2001 celica as stated and I went to go adjust the mirror a few days ago and now the day night flip lever does not work and the mirror seems to just hang there. Its like if its in a ball and socket kind of fitting that it has fallen off the fitting but still attached.

Does anyone have any ideas besides replacing the mirror on how I can fix it?

I have heard that a new mirror is around 100.00 so I am trying to find out if it can be fixed or find one at a junk yard.

Any help would be great.
