Need to replace front turn signal

I need to replace my front turn signal. I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Can I get to the front turn signal by removing the side marker lights? Or do I have to take out the headlight assembly? To take off the side marker light the Haynes manual says remove screws and pull. I only found one screw on the side marker. I removed it and tried to pull the side marker off. It was pretty snug. I stopped because I didn't want to break anything. What should I do next? Thanks for any input. As you can tell from my post I am a novice.

Re: Need to replace front turn signal

The Factory Service Manual shows two screws, one on top of the assembly and one below. Both are near the headlight. The top screw looks like you need the hood open to get to it. The bottom one is accessible from the front. If you still can't find the second screw send me a message with your email and I'll send you the schematic.
