1996 Windstar code P1151

Hello, my 96 3.8 windstar has a code that is P1151 controlled fuel and air metering.I did a search on this code and was fixed by replacing the DPFE sensor.I have replaced it years ago with the metal one, and I have read about the plastic one is better.NAPA shows the plastic one, and if it is I will check on it first.Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks bobinkski.

P1151..........................HO2S-21 switch senses lean.

That would be the O2 sensor on the front side closest to the manifold. You also may have a vacuum leak or PCV leak. Check for bad related hoses first. Like the one from the front valve cover to the intake.
