Cavalier with a 350

OK heres the problem i have.

1st of all everytime i walk in a shop and explain this to them....they ask me how much im willing to spend because its gonna be expensive.
MONEY IS NOT AN OBJECT
2ndly, I have a 2001 cavalier 2.2l recently bought for sleeper purposes only.

3rdly, I am looking to reinforce the chassis, rollcage the entire car, convert to rear wheel drive, and expand firewall, and front wheelwells. After that im looking to drop in a 350 crate pushin close to 400 hp. Then throw 20lbs of boost to it. Im lookin to ahve a completely stock interior no work there except cage, seats, guage and harnesses.

I dont have the know how to do this extensive of a project and i cant find a shop with enough "balls" to take ti on eihter. Im looking for your opinions on the project and for any shops you knwo of that would accept the project , AND DO IT WELL WITH NO SHORTCUTS AND KNOW THAT SAFETY NOT POWER IS THE NUMBER 1 KEY!!!!!!

Re: Cavalier with a 350

well it sounds like you have one helluva project planned. I know of a shop by me that has enough ''balls'' to take on the job. If there is like a race shop around you might want to try there.

it sounds like a great idea. but like eveyone on this forum will say is we'll believe it when its done. everyone is always talking about doing some kind of crazy mods to there cavy or swapping an engine but no one ends up doing it. all they do is just talk about it. but good luck on the project and hope you actually do it.

Re: Cavalier with a 350

yes these projects were all highly documented. I have pictures showing every step of every project. ive had 2 1000+ horsepower supras....but they just arent fun after everyone knows it....they are very thrilling to drive but not fun to race......after awhile people simply show no interest. we also had an rx8 puttin out about 500...not too bad i gues.. i liked that car more then the supras...but that was never really for me....its was for my son...he likes it.....but now it needs more work then a 1980 chevette.scratches on both bumpers, front driver fender... i seen a hole in teh interior....lol.....
