Hypothetical computer-eye sight problem question (totally hypethetical)

Guys.

Can, theoretically speaking, playing a computer game, for example, ... World of Warcraft, for say, for example, hypothetically speaking, 9 hours a day for a year straight... be bad for your eyes?

Like, just hypothetically speaking, the person who plays said game for said period of time start to lose their ability to read text at a distance? Say 10m?

Re: Hypothetical computer-eye sight problem question (totally hypethetical)

Probably. Apparently sitting at a computer screen for hours forces your eyes to get used to seeing things at close range.

So you should take a break every couple of hours and look at things far away.

Dude seriously, that game is electronic crack. Delete it and come back to the real world.

Re: Hypothetical computer-eye sight problem question (totally hypethetical)

Yup. You should look away from the monitor and across the room or outside, as far as you can, every 20 minutes or so.

Junkie.

(Hypothetically, of course.)

Now, the poor guy's already got vision problems from WoW, and you're putting him onto another crack computer game? Have a heart, man, he'll be blind by 30.

Re: Hypothetical computer-eye sight problem question (totally hypethetical)

WoW is just a gateway game, it always leads to much more serious addictions to real hardcore stuff.

However, it might be time to see an optomertrist, your of an age where your eyes might have just started to turn bad anyway.

Re: Hypothetical computer-eye sight problem question (totally hypethetical)

Wow, you know maybe it's a good thing that I can only think of WoW as a load of crap and not worth the time and effort.

That said, I still have to live with the shame that I got addicted to True Crime: New York

You know you can get the PC version of DII for about $15 now don't you?
I think the orignal is now a free download.
Should still run on a new spec PC.
