Question Difference in WS6 and a non WS6

I know very little about the TA's but I am starting to get into them. I was just wondering what the differences are between the ws6 and a non ws6? Thanks

Re: Difference in WS6 and a non WS6

The only differences are hood, wheels, and springs. The hood does not make any difference in power though, you can do a simple mod and cut the bottom of the airbox and get the same power. The only thing you should think about when deciding between ws6 and non ws6 is if you want the hood.

Re: Difference in WS6 and a non WS6

As stated above the WS6 had ram air hood, less restrictive exhaust system, springs (Not sure of), 17" rims (275mm wide vs. 245mm wide), and I believe a beefier front sway bar. Luos can elaborate more.

Front and rear sway bars I believe.

The main difference is roughly $3,000.

more of that $3k goes towards appearance differences than performance upgrades...but of course i'm gonna say that i just wish a regular trans am had a name instead of "non-ws6", like the maros have both z28 and SS. makes me

Yep in 20-30 years I think us WS6 owners will have a little more cha-ching value for our cars

Hopefully I can keep mine that long. I see that there is an increase in value of the WS6 already, and I might have a potential buyer for $17K. Dunno though.

Watch it go up $10 in 5 years. I'd be heated

Re: Difference in WS6 and a non WS6

You could always get the ram air hood for the regular TA, though. It would pretty much look the same. Just none of the other stuff.

Re: Difference in WS6 and a non WS6

the actual GM ws6 hood i believe is $1700 from the factory, unpainted. if i had that much $$ to throw at the car it'd def go towards performance mods.
