2002 1.8t hesitation
I have a 2002 jetta with the 1.8t and it is giving me problems. I use premium gas and synthetic oil every ~3000 miles. When it starts after sitting for over 2 hours it hesitates and jumps especially when it is in reverse. i was thinking the spark plugs or coils may need to be replacedor possibly a problem with the fuel injection. Any one have any suggestions. The car has 64000 miles and i took it to the dealer before the warranty was up and they said they did not notice any problems.

Re: 2002 1.8t hesitation
i would say the maf sensor is problably bad. ALso check the breather lines under the intake manifold as they are a VERY common problem after 55k miles. They are thin and brittle and break causing vacuum leaks. Its about 650-700.oo to have every one replaced from the crankcase to the intake pipe and to the pcv valve up the the intake manifold and brake vacuum pump.
