Myspace
What do you guys think of it?? do you have one? think it is just pointless?? what are your opinons on it??
I myself have a myspace and think its pretty great. I like it because you can catch up with old friends that you havent talked to in years, meet new people, talk with friends etc etc. best part is all the fine as chicks you can find on there. thats my opinon on it.

But to answer your Q yes I agree myspace is cool in respect to being able to find old freinds etc. all that stuff. I just hate all the fake people on there who try and live through their computer.

I use it to keep in touch with people. I cant stand getting the friend requests from people who dont even actually know me. Other than those people i think myspace is cool. We also use it as the message board for our baseball team.

It's great to find people and to keep in touch, but IMO facebook is a lot better for me, since I'm a college student. Myspace has too many ads & bugs in it, and being able to 'customize' your myspace page lets people put insanely bright colors or pictures as their backgrounds, which annoys the hell out of me. Facebook is a more simple and clean formatted directory where you can send messages to friends.
But yea, myspace is great cuz you have acess to anyones profile, and search them by name - not just people at your school/your friends like facebook. (but that's also what makes it more unsafe) Quote:

I think it's gay, if I wanted to talk to these people I'd talk to them...There's probably a good reason I don't talk to them anymore and don't want to help them find me.

myspace sucks. a lot. i don't care what anyone has to say about it. truth is, there are a lot of better ways to do what you've all just stated, for example, facebook. "oh, yeah, but they're both pretty much the same"... no, facebook isn't a bug infested hellhole where the population falls into an orgy of internet popularity. moreover, to navigate myspace is like trying to compete in a dicatholon if you had leprosy. its' not happening. oh, and anyone who has figured out how to use html code to make their myspace completely unique... should really just shoot themselves. congratulations, you've spent the past 6 hours cuztomizing a fucking webpage that people use to stalk you. Also, funny thing, my friend just told me this morning,
"...yeah but, say you just met someone, and you want to hang out with them some other time, wouldn't it be good to just say 'whats your myspace, i'll hit u up sometime'?" "umm, couldn't you just ask for their number? ... like a normal person might have?" "yeah, but your phone number is pretty personal..." "... soooo, ten numerical digits is somehow more personal than a fucking webpage that has your age, hometown, interests, friends, and all that stuff?" PEOPLE OF EARTH! Use your fucking phone! if you want to meet new people, GO OUTSIDE!... if you want to keep in touch with friends from school, use facebook, its sooo much easier for your purposes (if infact that is all that you're using myspace for anyways), and finally... if anyone so much as ever makes another myspace thread again, i will have a brain anurism. /rant. sry, i'm an angry drunk.

to tell you the truth, its great because i have found people that i haven known in the past and have lost all contact with them, ive gotten in touch with some old friends of mine. I dont use it much and i dont know where all the drama comes from, but to me its just another way of communication via internet as AF or an IM program. To me its all good.
