2001 malibu won't start

Hello All, Need Help

I have a 2001 malibu , it ran great last night , 3100 engine got up this morning and it won't start, turns over but won't start any suggestions

I'm not a mechanic or anything, but based on other posts I've seen on this site it might be your fuel pump. I don't konw for sure though.

It may also be the passkey theft deterrent. Try searching around in this forum, I know i've seen some posts with similar symptoms to yours.

Thanks Markag6 it was the anti theft deterrent ,turned on the key in the on position for ten mins, the anti theft light went out turned the key to off position and then tryed to crank, fired right up

My 2001 Malibu LS won't start- it cranks and all lights light up brightly but will not turn over. I've tried it the next day and it won't start then, either. I hear gushing right in front of the steering wheel. This car is on its 4th fuel pump. It frequently hard starts, too. I've had it 1 yr 3 mos and it would always start until 6 months ago- now it won't start pretty much one month from when I bring it home from the dealer. Any help you have to give me would be much appreciated.
