Toyota 88C-V

I just got the internet connection in my new flat. So I have access to AF again
Members of SPC forum could already saw this model and as I remeber I had a wip thread here also.
This is 1/24 Tamiya Toyota 88C-V. I used some nice stuff to upgrade the engine. Hoses are from modellers and Sakatsu. Hose joints are from Sakatsu. I also used S27 p/e upgrade set but that was quite poor quality. Almost all the parts was either too small or too big. Springs in the suspention are from a computer keyboard. I used Renaissance CF decal for the interior and for some exterior parts like brake cooler intake or wing stand.

You can find more photos in my page.

Re: Toyota 88C-V

I like it. The tubes look like they have had a lot of oil in them. very cool.

Also, this motor has twin wastegates on either side?! Neat!

It looks fantastic, best livery for that car imo.

Re: Toyota 88C-V

Great model and detail

I'd like to build it also, though OOB or whatever w/those decals. It's my favorite/fastest car in GT4

Fantastic result you got out of that build. Really great execution. I need to start to build these Group-C-cars!

Re: Toyota 88C-V

Hi Geronimo, great work on this kit, and the engine detailing is a very nice reference for me in my WIP 88C-V.

Re: Toyota 88C-V

Good job. Oh please you have to tell us where you got the Sakatsu hose joints. How many per package, what scales, plastic or metal, price and ease of use? Any pics? Ever since the Modelers hose joints became unavailable I've been looking for another source. I know that Detail Masters makes metal ones but too expensive.
thank you

thank you
I have it from Japan. You can buy it from HLJ or Rainbowten
You can check the sizes and the shapes on HLJ. It is quite expensive. It is 400-500yen and there are 10pc in each package.
