Thumbs up Walmart?

I have been going to Walmart for a while to buy some of my modelling supplies and kits. Of course they aren't as good as my local hobby shop but soem of the stuff they have there is worth seeing and maybe buying. They don't have Tamiya or Fujimi, but they have many Testor's products. What suprised me the most is the huge variety of models and paints that they have. They even have the popular Revell ITR by the stacks. I recommend anyone who needs there basic model supplies to get them there. Of course for everything else, you'll have to get at a hobby store. But there are always some stuff that you can save money on and will produce the same effects.

I get most of my stuff there, or Fred Meyer. The closest hobby shop is 2 hours away, so Wal Mart does me good.

The closest hobby shop from my house is 45 min away, plus Walmart even sell some models by at least $1-2 less than the closest hobby shop, and Walmart is only 20 min away!!!!

Don't forget check check out the home improvement section. They have
"mineral spirits" paint thinner that comes in gallon jugs. This is great for cleaning brushes and thinning small amounts of paint. Why pay around a dollar for 1/4 oz of thinner when you can get gallons for just a couple of bucks? I have not used this stuff in airbrushes, but it works great as thinner/cleaner.
