How do I replace a 96 sunfire oil pan

I have removed the bolt around the oil pan but there is a bracket of some type that I do not know what it is or how to remove it because there are bolts everywhere. Can Someone tell me the easiest way to remove oil pan

Re: How do I replace a 96 sunfire oil pan

you need to remove the RIGHT engine splash shield and the exhaust pipe shield.
take off the air conditioner bracket.
take off the starter and bracket.
take off the flywheel/driveplate inspection cover.
remove the engine mount, and loosen the bolts to get to the oil pan.
take off the oil filter extenson if it's an automatic.
remove all the oil pan bolts.
you will have to tap the pan with a rubber mallet or soft hammer to loosen it.

got that from my Haynes I keep by the computer LOL
