22RE using oil
I have a 91 22RE with 124K on it, I'm using about a quart of oil every 2 weeks, there's no oil leak's on my driveway so I must be burning it, I'm thinking valve guide seals need replacing, or worse worn rings, anyone had this problem

Re: 22RE using oil
get the head rebuilt, that way you have new valves and seals. I don't think it is the righs, that motor will last way over 200,000

Re: 22RE using oil
Look at the spark plugs. Do a compression check. Check the PCV valve if the truck is so equipped.
