change fuel injector

Hello, Is there any special tools needed to change out fuel injectors on a 1986 Park Ave? Is there a web site that will show step by step install? Thanks for your help.

Re: change fuel injector

No, well, line wrenches anyway, it's super ieasy.

Relieve the fuel pressure from the system, completely. Disconnect the inj. main harness by the steering pump. Remove the feed line and the return line below the regulator. remove the 4 bolts holding the fuel rail to the plenum and it's out. the injectors are just nessled in wiht a o-ring.

oh, and for a step by step try autzone or alldata.diy

Re: change fuel injector

little bit of vaseline on the o-rings makes them go in nice and easy--and doesnt eat the neoprine.
