Is WS.6/ SS faster than Z28 / Trans am?

ok when l first singed up on fbody web sites, l asked this question and l said l wanted to get WS6 cuz they were faster but ws6 owner, SS owner and regular Z28 & regular trans am owners told me that they dyno the same and none of them faster than each other.. that SS, WS6 packages were just marketting..

so tell me guys, what is the truth.. l actually believe that WS6/SS = regular trans am /Z28. no difference on POWER!

Re: Is WS.6/ SS faster than Z28 / Trans am?

The SS/WS.6 are rated at 25 more HP than a Z28/Trans Am..

To see which is faster, really wont be much of a big deal because the HP increase that they get from the hood isnt so big.. but it does help out in the long run.

To answer your question, yes there is a difference in horsepower, down the track, the actual time difference isnt much.

yes.. they dyno the same cuz that hood has to be in an airstream for it to function and increase hp

Re: Is WS.6/ SS faster than Z28 / Trans am?

Power numbers are near identical. Very small if any difference in performance. Handling wise and looks wise there is a difference but performance wise they are pretty damn near identical to the base V8 model's.
