pajero io gdi

I have a year 2002 pajero io gdi turbo. This is the 1800 turbo model not with as much compression as the others but with boost as its power maker.Vehicle is doing 45 thousand km. The vehicle was putting down a constant 500km to the full tank. However a month ago the gdi light just blanked out and economy went as low down as 350 to a full tank. I also have the problem of vehicle idling low.How do you know if gdi is working or not. What controls the gdi coming on or not what sensor takes care of this. Was told that the injectors could be blocked or fuel pump gone then i was told they have two pumps what are the two pumps.I know one is by the gas tank where would the other one be.Also where is the fuel filter located for the pajero io.

Re: pajero io gdi

yes you do have two pumps one in the tank and a pump by the injectors
remove pump by injectors and in the inlet and outlet petrol recesses you will see two hole with brass surrounds. Inside these holes are micro filters.
Remove micro filter by way of force with screw driver. this solved my problem let me know if it solves yours.
