Do ya'll think a single color paint job is cool? Also, metallic black vs shiny black

Hey, seeing as how all i got are ricers over hear in redneckville, i thought i'd get opions of ppl who matter. Im gettin my car painted soon, once i get my kit on and im thinkin about just doing black right now, cause i cant find a design id like to have on the car plus that'll be cheaper. So, do u guys like cars with just one color, or is that considered ricey and cheap? I would really appreciate everyones opinion. Also, please take my poll for wat looks better: shiny black or metallic black or both are gay. Thanx guys, Im hoping for a lot of replies on this one, thanx in advace :frog:

(hope this poll works )

One color considered rice? Aren't 99% of the cars on the road just one color. I'm not sure I know what you mean.

A one tone car can look awesome, especially if you add a pearl to it.

Yep, they should know what you mean. My car’s got 6 different colours in the paint (purple, black, grey, white, silver and a white pearl). The white pearl is what gives it a metallic look in certain lights. You can get different amounts of pearl added depending on the look you want. Talk to your body shop they should definitely know what you mean and should be able to show you some examples.

Yep, should do. When I had my FTO I was going to get black with a blue pearl. It would have looked amazing. You would only see the blue in certain lights, but it would leave people wondering just exactly what colour it was. I love colours like that. Something unique that no one else has. Black with a green pearl would look awesome as well.

Should look great. Just ask your body shop and they should be able to mix up some paints with different amounts of pearl to show you and then you can choose the look you want.

Use metallic black. Like BMW's Cosmos it's black w/ all different color meatllic flakes. Doesn't show scratches like Glossy back, and is eaiser to keep looking good w/ less effort.

That's my opinion on black

If i ever get a paint job it's gonna be candy apple red - i love that color

I say, just do a one-color job... I see WAY too many people out there with flames and other lame designs on the car. I much prefer the "clean" look, and I think that most multi-color paint-jobs/designs look retarded. That's my opinion anyhow.

I just got my car painted one color, and it looks tight. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanx for the opionions, I think I'm gonna take Spec2 Girls advice and get Black with Green Pearl. That sounds bling blinging to me, plus its something different too. Now I just need someone to paint it.

Make sure that you get them to give you a few samples as there are a tonne of different shades of green. I wish I could find some pics to show you, but I can't seem to find any.
