i think i have a huge problem here.
i just finished changing my oil and i noticed that my coolant was really low. i noticed it was low before, about two or three months ago, so I filled the resivoir. i dont get it because there has always been coolant in the resivouir, and its never even given a hint of overheating. is it possible to have a leak in the head gasket? could it be just because its been really hot out?? i havent seen any puddles, or leaks...dont smell anything burning?? whats up any ideas?? any way to find out if it is the head gasket?? |

Re: cooloant
A leaking head gasket will usually make small bubbles appear in the motor oil. Wait 10 minutes after you shut your car off & check the oil, if there are some bubbles on the dipstick, then you probably have a leak.
Also, you can get your cooling system pressure tested at a shop for a few bucks. That'll tell you what is wrong for sure. |
