compressor pulley loose

98 taurus gl broke drivebelt, a/c pulley is loose, wobbles side to side, front to back when turning it, guess compressor bearing or shaft damage, is there a way to bypass compressor with shorter belt? I can't get the water pump pulley to turn (smooth surface, turns with back of drivebelt), whichever way I route the belt , anyone bypass compressor or have done reroute of belt?

Autozone sells something called a "A/C Compressor Bypass Pulley". Product description: BOLTS DIRECTLY TO AC COMPRESSOR BRACKET
USE AS REPLACEMENT FOR A SEIZED AC COMPRESSOR AND USE
ORIGINAL BELT.

Costs $29.99 it's a special order item.
