i think its just memphis

but i might be wrong.the other day we went to a dealer in memphis that claimed to find the car you want for the price you want(as long as its a reasonable price).so we get there,and i tell him im looking for a 97 eclipse gsx.he says,ok how much do you think your gonna want to spend?i told him i would like to find one for blue book value.he says,well your not going to be able to find one for blue book value.i asked why he thought that becuase i have found the car for blue book value every were,its just to far to travel?so heres were it all went wrong..........he just goes off on this rant.he says i wil never be able to find a car like that for blue book,insureance will be at least 600 a month for me,if i do find one for blue book theres a 99.9% chance somethings wrong with it.

there was an aquward pause.then he said,but i do have a very nice gs for sale,and im only asking 10k.

the insurance is what got me thinkin.im only 17.even tho i pay for every thing i have 600 dolars a month,pluss a car note.i dont think i will be able to do that.luckly i just paid my truck off.my mom just tried calling the insurance company and they wouldnt give her a quote.like i said i think its just memphis.

so do you guys think it will be 600 a month for me?i mainly wanted to tell that story becuase its the first time i was yelled at by a dealer.

and i know im not a gifted speller so sorry in advance

Um, $600?!?~! Are you in a moajor city, have you been involved in any acidents, whats the car color, ect??? All these things play a role on what you pay, and i think 600 is deffinatly too high. My 17 year-old cousin had a 3000gt, totaled it, and lived in columbus. (his insurance was about $300)

no i dont live in the city.no no wrecks.i live about 15 min. outside of memphis in a little town with about 2500 people in it.i only pay 130 for my truck,and its a 97 gmc sonoma v6 vortec.

That dealership sounds like a crock! I would go back and talk to his manager!

Anyways, Unless you've had some accidents or tickets Theres no way it could be 600 dollars a month. That is just way too much money for a car like that at your age. I wouldn't expect it to be any more then 200-250 a month. Get online and check geico, progressive, or state farm. Also having your parents insurning your car for you with you as the primary driver can help reduce the insurance premium. State farm has programs you can do that will lower you premiums, and if you have a 3.0 GPA they give you a major discount!

I pay about 120 a month for my Talon... That dealer just wanted to make a sale on his car. Don't waste your time going back there.

it was a 97 gs auto with 179,000 miles.i think it was $9,998.99,but after taxs and paperwork fees it would have been more than 10k.

lmao....he wanted to sell you his highly overpriced GS. End of story. Your insurance, if on your own and not on your parents policy, could be as high as $300/month.

Fuck that, 14 miles and it better be a 99 in MINT condition. I wouldn't even pay 10g's for a fucking 97 GSX unless it had under like 40k.
