clockspring replacement
bought a 96 GC with airbag light on, no horn and cruise.
i checked on the recall website and it says its been done (clockspring recall) i confirmed it with the dealer and they said its been done last 2003 and they dont know if it still covered by warranty until they diagnose it. anybody did the clockspring recall and failed afterwards? does it still covered under warranty/recall? the dealer i went to could'nt tell. thanks |

Re: clockspring replacement
Just had mine replaced two weeks ago. On another post on this site i found a web site to put in the last 8 digits of the vin #. When i did that, it indicated it;s a lifetime replacement on the clockspring. The reason they have to do it is a saftey item because it effects the air bag deployment.
