Ranger driveshaft
I have to replace the telescoping driveshaft in my 2001 Ranger Extended Cab 4X4 and am looking for a reasonably priced outlet.
The Ford dealership wants $500+ dollars for a new one, I'm hoping that I can find one for less. Anybody got any ideas??

Re: Ranger driveshaft
Have you looked on www.car-part.com? Id also look on ebay but try car-part as they will search all jyds near where you live and give you the prices.

Re: Ranger driveshaft
I appreciate your response. I'm a little hesitant about purchasing a used driveshaft, it may be as bad or worse than the one that you have. These Rangers are terrible about slack on the slip yoke. I took apart the one I have and put teflon grease on the splines and it made a totally different truck out of it. We'll see how long it lasts.
Thanks again.
