94 Metro suspension questions

Just purchased a 94 metro. The previous owner had swapped the front suspension for that from a 91 convertible "because it's stronger". In looking at the front tires it is obvious that the alignment is toast. What (if any) are the differences between the two front suspensions? I assume it would be restricted to sway bar size but am curious if they are basically the same so it's just a matter of fixing his goobers or if I would need to go back to the 94 setup. I pick up the car tomorrow so will have another chance to find out just how much he swapped out.
Update: Picked up the car and spoke with the previous owner. He is a generation younger than I am so after filtering out all the slang; the "I was likes" and the joe cool attitude I understood he had swapped the entire convertible running gear (struts, spindles, engine and trans) under the sedan primarily for the larger brakes. He also contends that the convertible trans uses different half shafts than the sedan. I had always thought they were the same... anyone know? Needless to say I will be going over the car carefully before I depend on it for transport.
