Hi,can anyone tell me please,what it could be when the orange "check engine" light comes on in my car,(Its a 1989 Daihatsu Charade)and then the motor cuts out...sometimes if i let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes,it will then start again. It always starts very easily when i first get in it,but the light comes on soon after then it cuts out. This happens most days,but the odd day it drives ok and doesnt do it. Its a good little car in every other way.(Could it be the Alternator maybe?) If you can help me,please message me. Thanking you in advance,cheers Shelly...

Try checking the spark plugs 1 or more are possibly
faulty found this with a friends motor who took it back
dealer,as was under warranty they said the same thing
spark plugs,worth a look

I have the problem solved i think........was the distrib. Cap..had a lot of cracks in it...cheers Shelly..
