95wt water pump hose?

Hi, i've got a 95 full size with the 4.3 the water pump is bad. as i was looking at the pump to see what tools i woud need i looked at the rubber/metal hose going into the top of the pump their is a connector at the pump it has a plastic peice in it? i assume its some type of quick dissconect but i dont know how to take it apart? i didnt even try to take it apart i just figured i would ask how to so i will know how when i do change it. thaks!!

I think you just grip them with a pair of pliers and pull. Maybe push in on the hose first.

Yeah, push in then pull out. ONly prob is that once disconnected they are hard to reconnect without them leaking. You can pick one up pretty cheap as a replacement. I would recomend doing this as it will save a headache later on.
