hemi
has anyone ever noticed that the honda motors feature a hemi design on the engines ? so are our honda engines hemi's ? just a little muscle car tek for you guys. for those of you who dont know, hemi stands for hemispherical cause the heads combustion camber is shperical.
but i never got a good look at a honda head before so i am kinda asking if it is. if it is then that would also explain why they make alot of power

Hemi is a pet name for Chryslers "hemisphyrical(sp)" Head. It is a system that uses a domed shaped piston and a head design similar to the top of a stop sign /--\ the intake and exaust being on eather side of the combustion chamber and the spark plug being quite high in the head. this design managed to squeeze the gasses closer to the spark plug for a better more efficient ignition.
Honda does use something similar to that design but so does every other manifacturer. honda generaly uses a flat or slightly domed piston nothing to the extent of the HEMI.

that is so funny you say that. we do all my swaps at our "mopar" friend's house (he has every tool known to man
 ). he teases my honda's all the time calling them "half a hemi"

I can get a sticker for my hood that says 126Hemi as my engine is probably that small.
