Idle Problem Solved - IACV Cleaned (99 Passport)

Like a few others, I keep finding that my idle problems are due a carbonized (dirty) IACV. 6 months ago, my used Passport ('99, automatic, 4WD, 125K) started having the fluctuating idle problems, after starting it, it would go from 0-2000rpm back and forth. Just this week, it would do the same and also now the idle would just die right after start up... In both cases, I removed the IACV, found it black with carbonized deposits and cleaned it and the inside bore with carburetor cleaner removing the deposits. Only thing required is a torx head screw driver and carburetor cleaner. Both times it has fixed the idle problems. Thought I'd share this with everyone...so if you have idle problems with your Rodeo or Passport, probably try this first. It's easy to do.
