R32 and R33 General Maintenance - What do I need to watch out for
Hey all, I'm working on getting either an R32 or R33 soon. GT-R, not GT-S.
What are the things I need to worry about when it comes to maintenance? Also what are the common problems you R32/33 owners out there are seeing. I see alot of mention of a HICAS problem on the R32s, but what else? Lastly, where would you go to work on a R32/33 in the US? Specifically I'm in Los Angeles and found a sweet R33 for sale, but wanted to do my homework before buying. If its gonna be a cheap sale, but the car is gonna cost me $10K a year, I probably wont buy it, as the R would be my daily driver. The more info the better! |

basic things:
Air Flow Meter, make sure it's checked or refurbished, it's known that these can go. turbo noise. make sure it's not making any weird noises. a turbo specialist should know about this. upper suspension arm bushes can get worn, so check those. Just keep it service regularly with synthetic and it should be good.
