Lightbulb 92 4.3L TBI to CPI?

Hey all

I've got a 92 4.3L V6 TBI in my truck
I see they made a "GT" 4.3 the same time, that was CPI

could I "easily" change this from TBI to CPI
If I took it off the "GT" Version?

Also, I have a CPI setup from a 96 4.3L, any chance I could use it on this one?
if I need anything else, I have a seized up 96 4.3L that I could get the part(s) off of

thanks

Re: 92 4.3L TBI to CPI?

well you could do it using the parts, but i can tell you from experiance it's gonna be way easier to just build up the tbi. I recently did the reverse (cpi to tbi) and it took a month to even get it to fire. the wire harnesses are way different. and the "gt" version was called the "Syclone" or the blazer version "typhoon." these did run cpi, but the also ran turbos. a whole other option that would be way too fun to put on, but alomst more work than is worth it for the s-dime.

if you really wanna do it, i can send you the wire diagrams and a couple of mapped out charts for it, and i can get you a wireharness off of the 93 cpi injection if you need it. But trust me, it's a hassle.

alright, I'll just stick with the tbi

but the Syclone and GT are 2 different trucks
GT had CPI, just minus the turbo, and I'm not sure if it had 4wd

that and its just badged GT
More then a Sonoma, less then a Syclone

Re: 92 4.3L TBI to CPI?

the GMC line had a SONOMO GT, a non turbo 2 door standard cab mini truck, then they had the SYCLONE, a turbo version.
