Back again!!!

I was wondering if anyone has the big service manuals for an 87 and 90 camaro? What I really need is some blown up views of connectors for the 90 RS and 87 IROC engine harness. They are totally different between the two cars and years. It's the main problem why vehivle won't start now?

Re: Back again!!!

Yo, i got into a bad accident, and it was all my fault. I crashed into a tree at about 30mph, straight head on collision. Destroyed the frame, but motor ran perfectly fine. So i found a 90RS for $300, it didn't run, but i figured since the body was in such great shape, why not swap all drivetrain parts from the IROC into the RS. Easier said than done. I got all the drivetrain parts in engine and even put a T-5 in aswell. The main problem that I'm having is that the engine will not fire, due to the fact that it's not recieving any fuel. Fuel pump is good and it does work, put it does not recieve any power from my harness, due to it being drastically different between the years. The main power distributors to the vehicle like power to the fuse block, power distribution to the car, starting and charging, and ignition all work and line up, but there little mislaneuos (sp) crap that doesn't line up. Like there a connector that supplies power to the fuel injectors on the 87 engine harness (connector 221) which doesn't exits at all on the 90, where power for the injectors is intertwinned within the dash harness, staright to the ecm. This crap is killing me! I had the chilton, but that was enough info for me. I need someone who can scan the gm service manuals, like the big $100 books.

Re: Back again!!!

too bad I don't know of a Shoebox site like they have for LT1's but I am sure there has to be a site out there for TPI's like that.

Re: Back again!!!

First off, you have a MAF engine in a car set up for speed density.

Secondly on the 87, you have a cold start (9th) injector that does not exsist on the '90.

Finally, yo, you're at a autmotive school, they don't have Alldata or Mithcel for shop?

Re: Back again!!!

I was waiting for that Wrightz!!! I was kinda down, not able to concentrate or think straight, due to stressing out about this damn car!!! It's a pretty big mess, but i found out what the main harnesses for the engine (c100 and c207, c221 on 87 only) do (using ALLDATA of course!!!). Most of the wires between the two, totally different harnesses, actually perform the same, exact jobs, just routed through the vehicle in different places and crap. Hopefully, i can make something out of this stuff, it's a lot of rewiring that has to been done, but it may work. I'll keep you all posted.
