Unhappy 2000 CHEVY Venture (alarm problem)

Looking for anybody that may know problem i have with the anti-theft alarm. This morning i went out to the van a put the key it the door and unlocked it. As soon as i opened the door the anit-theft alarm came on. Had to turn if off by putting key in ignition. Key fob no longer works. I thought I would try to pull the fuse for alarm, but can not find any. Does anybody know. Thanks

Do you still have your Owner's Manual?

The reason I ask it that your Body Control Module (BCM) may have been programmed to disarm the system with the key fob ONLY. If you have your manual, you can follow the steps to reprogram the system to disarm with the key in the door too.

Take Care,

GregA , thanks for the reply, but I do not have a owners manual for the van. I bought it used and it did not come with one. If you have any more info it would be great. Thanks.

Does any one have a owners manual for a 2000 chevy venture? if so can you please forward anything that has to do with the bcm.

Thanks again...

next day-- I found a owners manual for my van!!!!! Found a site online for free download. if anyone needs a owners manual for 1997 to 2005 chevy ventures try www.analogstereo.com/chevrolet_venture_owners_manual.htm this site may sound funny but it works.

thanks
