|
93 525 - need help with up & low control arm
I need help getting the ball joints of the controls arms off the lower plate. I have the strut removed since I changed the cartridges today. I've tried pickle forks, heating, and a few other freaky thinks.

Big hammer and redbull. There are a bear Ive been there with my 5 series.

Well I'm going to throw away the forks. I got smart after I couldn't swing the hammer any more and went to Advance Auto to see if they had any special tools. They had a kit with about 5 different types of pullers and I could rent for free. I picked out one of the pullers, tightened it up, hit the top of the puller over the ball joint two times and it popped right out. I could kill myself now. Here's a picture of the tool.
