Here's a question for you

I have an 02 monte SS. Now on the highway tonight some friends of mine and I were cruising when we all got on it my car didn't stutter, but did not shift while @90mph @4,000rpm. It wasn't a govener or anything it just stopped accelerating. Now why i question this is because my Check engine light went crazy and started flashing and then went solid and didnt turn off. I checked my oil/temp/ and ATF and my ATF was WAY high. Could this have been the problem. Im going to run out in the AM and check again maybe because it was so hot? Someone help! :'(

Re: Here's a question for you

Ok so it happened again this time at 30mph and the Check engine light went to solid so we plugged it in and I have random misfires. all the plugs seems to be in alright, the wires look fine, I am assuming that i need new plugs and wires. Am I correct?

Re: Here's a question for you

high RPM and/or high load/low RPM misfires are most often caused by faulty ignition components (plugs, wires, coils, ignition module).
