1997 grand prix stuttering

I have a 1997 grand prix that when it reaches about 50 mph starts to sputter then smooths out okay until the next acceleration. Any ideas?

What is your mileage and which GP model?

How old are the spark plugs and ignition wires. Fuel filter?

I was told it is probably the fuel filter. Could anyone tell me where it is? Thanks

Underneath the rear seat area on drivers side. Not difficult to change. Be sure to relieve the pressure to keep from getting soaked. Maybe use a rag to keep from getting sprayed.

Re: 1997 grand prix stuttering

another way is to pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car until it stalls, this is the easiest way for me and have never been sprayed.
