Lotus Seven 1/24 (group build)

I thought I'd start mine, because i am going to take full advantage of my summer break to begin the major modifictions needed for my seven. (i have very ambitious plans for a certain "Big Cat".
For now i have started the major butchery... and made some basic plans, but i dont know if i have the skills.
(i started the kits interior before, but thats all.(just commemnting, because there is paint and glue stains that i am going to sand off)
Let the butchery commence...
(picture also shows the most important components apart from the engine.)

Thats all for now.

So the fact that it says "Jaguar XJ 220" on the engine is just a red herring, huh?

Interior and Rollcage

Ok, I have done much work on the interior and it is 99 percent complete, it still lacks racing hernesses and an external tachometer. But the roll cage is done, including at the sides, ad there will be no solid door panels to save weight. Still working on the engine subframe and suspension (front and rear), as i am using the tranny from the ferrari 612 as a base for a transaxle.
Here is the picture.

If you have any comment s and suggestions I am eager to learn.

Re: Lotus Seven 1/24 (group build)

Is there a prize for being first that I haven't heard about?

Is this the final paint job?

For the interior, yes, unless i have a sudden change of heart, but the body will be painted silver and then clear blue like some of the engine details.
