Help! Check engine light on, yet the engine runs fine. Just had a bunch of work done to the Rodeo, and my mechanic can't even figure out why the light is on. Will disconnecting the battery help? Anyone else have this problem? It will not pass the inspection with the light on, have to get this thing fixed.
Also, anybody know where I could download a free manual from online? Thanks. |

Re: Check engine light on 2000 Rodeo
What kind of work did you have done?
Maybe a loose connection somewhere?

Re: Check engine light on 2000 Rodeo
I would just reset the ECM and see if it comes back. In the fuse box in the engine compartment there is a 10 amp fuse in the spot labled 'ECM' remove it for about 20 minutes then put it back it. That will reset the computer and clear the light.
