Window regs are a problem , mainly rear (dont know why) if your good with your hands I can lead you to a cheap fix.For the oil guage it is the oil pressure sensor if not mistaken.Others had this prob too.

Re: 2000 window regulator problems

Just had another front reg. go bad. Took to Pontiac dealer and had new replaced for $400 plus. At least they have a one year guarantee. Previous was off brand which lasted short time. Another GMC reason not to buy another GMC

Can you send us the fix for the rear power window. My husband is very good at repairing and we were just quoted 750.00 plus labor or fix. Ouch

Re: 2000 window regulator problems

95 have different window problems may be motor or switch. The 2000 have a problem with the actual cable breaking.

Re: 2000 window regulator problems

I've had 6 regulators go but none in last year. Dealer fix in central PA is about $400. Best I/ve done isorder regulator from diyautoparts.com (800-593-1443) out of Syracuse,NY..in July 06 cost was $103.50. had local good mechanic put it in for $40 (he asked $20) Most people have had no problems such as mine

Re: 2000 window regulator problems

Rear Window Regulators are a big problem on 2000 - 2003 Bonnevilles.
I had same problem last year (2001 Bonneville) fixed myself in 45 mins for $89.00.
Go on Ebay Motors, factory replacement (new) Window Regulators. The price may be a little higher but not no where near Dealer prices. If you are a DIY kind of person or know someone, this is the way to go.

By the way, this was the suppliers first try at making Window Regulators. Thats why this is such a big problem.
