30,000k Hid?
So I'm lookin for a pair of replacement bulbs for my HID kit since one finally burnt out after 3 years and I come across this ad on ebay for30000K Bulbs
I didn't even know that was an option! Not that I want 30000K (I like to be able to see when I drive). Up until this ad, the highest I saw was 12000K. Just thought that was a bit odd. Anybody else seen a 30000k bulb before? Have I just been oblivious to the ridiculous end of the light spectrum? btw if anybody knows where I can get a good deal on some 9006 5000-6500K bulbs, do tell

Re: 30,000k Hid?
isnt it the higher the K the more purple the light output seems? (i could be wrong) so to me that would mean your light output would almost blend into the night..... id just get what came in your kit.

Re: 30,000k Hid?
Yeah, the higher the kelvins (K), the more color, but less useable light. The kit I bought is 6500K and its blueish/purpleish but has great useable light. Ive seen 8000K kits where the light is straight purple, but you can't really see much at night. I don't even know what color 30,000K should be, but in the pics on the ebay ad show blueish light which is about 5500K.
This thread Light Output explains it well. But basically it seems to me the ebay ad is total bs, but I'm just wondering if anybody else even heard of a 30,000K kit

Re: 30,000k Hid?
6000k is the best range of light because it is perfectly white....i posted on your WTB thread in the classifieds....
