Replaced wheel bearing, help clearing code?
I just replaced my wheel bearing yesterday, after the service vehicle soon, trac off and ABS lights all came on. A common thing with Aleros, apparently. Anways, the lights all came on again today and I am curious if the code resets itself, or if I have to somehow manually clear the code so the lights don't come on again.
I know the problem is fixed because the car is much quieter now. I appreciate any help! |

Re: Replaced wheel bearing, help clearing code?
Normally after doing a hub replacement the error codes and lights are cleared by using an ABS capable scanner. But if you got the right hub replaced the lights may clear after a few drive cycles.
When you first start the engine are the lights on or off or do they come on after road movement? Welcome to AF.

Re: Replaced wheel bearing, help clearing code?
It was the right hub that we replaced. The lights came on after I started moving today, but I think I'll try driving it a few more times before I have someone clear it with a scanner. Thanks for your help, and thanks for the welcome, this forum is great!
